Bonafyde Recognized as Blue Hen 17&43 Most Promising Venture

🎉 Excited to share that Bonafyde Official Inc. has been recognized as one of the Blue Hen 17&43 Most Promising Ventures at the inaugural Blue Hen Innovation Fest!

This award celebrates the University of Delaware's most promising early-stage startups, and I'm honored to see Bonafyde's mission of illuminating the path to higher education for high schoolers being acknowledged. Our work connects high schoolers with current college students to provide real insights into the college experience, fostering clarity and confidence in their decision-making process.

Huge thanks to Horn Entrepreneurship, the Lerner College of Business & Economics, and everyone who has supported this journey so far. This is just the beginning! 🚀

Selection Criteria

To be eligible for a Blue Hen 17 & 43 Award, ventures must be founded by a UD alumnus or alumnae or be led by UD alumni in C-Suite roles. In addition, businesses must meet the following criteria:

  • Award winners will be selected based on their potential to make positive societal and economic impacts.
  • Ventures should have achieved one or more verifiable milestones to illustrate their potential impacts, including: contracts, partnerships, grants, seed investments, other awards and/or the generation of customer revenues.
  • In general, ventures should be no more than 5 years old and generate customer revenues to demonstrate traction; however, older, pre-revenue companies will also be considered if they are working in deep tech industries (i.e., those based on IP with long new product development cycles).

Value of Winning a Blue Hen 17&43 Award

  • Horn Entrepreneurship, the Lerner College of Business & Economics and the University of Delaware will share the list of Blue Hen 17&43 Most Promising Ventures through internal and external communications platforms including blog posts, press releases, social media and professional networking sites.
  • Recipients will receive physical awards and social media badges with significant signaling value.
  • Recipients will be invited to give an elevator pitch for their venture and connect with potential investors, other founders, and business leaders during the Blue Hen Innovation Fest at the University of Delaware.
  • Eligible ventures will receive an invitation to participate in Horn Entrepreneurship's commercialization programming, including new offerings of the Coalition for Translational Entrepreneurship.

This recognition is a testament to our team's hard work and dedication to our mission of transforming how students discover and connect with colleges. We're excited to continue building and growing Bonafyde to help even more students make confident, informed college decisions.
